When you get to your thirties, it really becomes obvious you’re not in your twenties anymore.
Little things change for the worse. You begin to look and feel different.
It was the first time it ever dawned on me that I needed to start looking after myself.
The best way to preserve and enhance your body is to give it what it needs, through vegetables and fruit. However, before I turned 30 I don’t think I’d ever gotten my recommend ‘five a day’.
Salad’s are big, boring, and not satisfying in any way. They’re also demoralizing – you’ll spend 15 minutes choking down a huge bowl, only to realize you’ve gotten two, maybe three of your five portions.
With a breakfast smoothie, you can easily get 6 or 7 before your day even begins.
These all sound like ‘away from’ motivations – juicing to avoid pain. To avoid cancer, to avoid health problems. And that’s true – that’s why I started.
But then I started to learn more about the properties of vegetables and fruits, and found that certain combinations can enhance your body, bringing pleasure. More energy, more testosterone, a higher libido, better skin, clearer thinking, and much, much more.
This is why I juice, and what I hope to bring to you through this blog.
